What is the strangest thing that has ever been exhibited in a museum?

Did you know that Rasputin’s 12-inch-long junk is exhibited in the Museum of Erotica in St. Peterburg?

For those who aren’t familiar with the man, Grigori Rasputin, or the infamous "Mad Monk" served the Romanov royal family and was known for his legendary skills in bed. One woman even claimed to have fainted from the intensity of their encounter. This earned him the name "Russia's greatest love machine."

But he was assassinated in 1916 by a group of men, and since then, there have been rumors that his genitalia was cut off by Prince Felix Yusupov. Legend has it that after it was separated from its owner, the organ developed a cult following, with some claiming it could bestow fertility. Some think it has magical properties, such as the ability to cure impotence just by looking at it.

Fascinating, isn’t it?

According to historian Douglas Smith, Rasputin's daughter Maria discovered her father’s penisin the 1920s with a group of women in Paris, taking it out only for their strange sacred rites. Maria supposedly sold the penis when she needed money in the 1970s.

Where is it now?

The organ eventually made its way to the Museum of Erotica in St. Petersburg, where Dr. Knyazkin purchased it in 2000 for $8,000 from two French antique dealers who claimed it had been taken to France by a fanatical follower.

The weird part is that no one is sure the organ is actually Rasputin’s! From its unusual size, some think it’s a bull’s genitalia.
