Does Power relate to money?

Money and power are two different entities, varying in magnitude of their function. To a high level of extent, with money, certain rights can be acquired,  but surely not verily earning one much satisfaction in most thing  that he could get out easily, if caught by law. However, certain privileges can be gotten through money if invested on good turns.

The power of money is not how much luxury or sex it could buy. It is something else.

Let us quickly consider a story of a young Lad who tips waiter for his service in India shared story. Please read his story below as we proceed further to elaborate on our post subject “does power relate with Money”

When Raj was in Class XII(High School), he often go to this restaurant in Kota, Rajasthan which used to serve delicious vegetarian dishes.

Kota is a famous place in India, known for its coaching institutes, which prepares students for one of the toughest college entrance examinations, IIT-JEE. He was a student of a reputed coaching institute of Kota and used to live in a rented house far away from my home town.

In India, it is not mandatory to tip your waiter. Waiter in India, will not misbehave with you if you do not tip him/her, like it happened in hundreds of American stories he had heard of so far. He has seen in many big restaurants, people often dont even think of tipping their waiters let alone in that small veg restaurant that he frequently used to visit.

Most of the time, his lunch bill would come under ₹150/-(<$2.5). Vegetarian meals are really inexpensive in India. Every time, he used to tip the waiter ₹10/- (<20cents). He was a student at that time, it was a surprise for the waiter, when the first time he tipped him, as students rarely tip the waiter(saving pocket money).

Slowly with more frequent visits, all the waiters started noticing me. He couldn’t explain in words, the type of majestic treatment he gets from the waiters for tipping them only Rs.10/- .

There was one waiter who used to wait on his table, most of the time.

Onetime, it was his birthday. He went there with some of my friends. The total bill came close to Rs 800/($12) . Pleased with his service, he tipped him Rs.100/-.

He asked me with a smile, “Bhaiyyaji, itna kyun de rahe ho?”(“Brother, Why are you giving me so much?”)

“Raklo bhaiyya, aaj waise bhi mera birthday hain, kuch kha lena”(Keep it bro, today’s my birthday, eat something with that), Raj motioned to him with calm smile expression on his countenance.

After sometime, he became so accustomed with his orders and taste, that he almost used to write the orders by himself. He used to make sure that he gets the most fresh vegetables and Paneer in his dishes.

It happened oneday, after returning to his room, he found out that he forgot somewhere his backpack containing Rs.70,000/-(almost $1000). It was his coaching fees for the entire year, plus his room rent. It was really a very big deal for him losing that kind of money. He got tensed and started recalling the places he had halted at, after he withdrew the amount from the bank.

He visited two to three places in search of the bag and then finally arrived at the restaurant.

Seeing him entering the restaurant, the waiter came to him quickly, with a huge smile on his face, carrying that backpack which he forgot in the restaurant that noon. He took the bag from him, opened it to see that the small packet of cash was well sealed.

He heaved a sigh of relief.

Waiter : “Bhaiyyaji, apka bag. Main apke piche gaya tha paar tab tak jaa chuke the. Phir maine apne pass rakh liya tha isko”. (Brother, Your bag, I went after you but you had left by then. So, I kept it safe with myself.)

He smiled and replied, “Bhaiyya, aaj bacha liya tumne” (Brother, you saved me today )

That day, he understood one very important aspect of money.

Money is tremendously powerful, if you’re invest in the right person at the right time.
